5 Stars Great value-a high quality stroller at a great price for parents on the go
I bought this stroller as an upgrade from the stroller I registered for originally. I have a Combi stroller that I like, but after having used this one, I am a Chicco convert. The higher handles on this stroller make it more comfortable for both my husband and I to push. It is easy to maneuver through doors and has a decent size basket for a compact umbrella stroller. Nice that it includes a cup holder and rain cover (unlike other brand where you need to buy these items separately). Fairly compact, lightweight and good for travel. We bought this before a trip to Florida and it was great at the airport as well as at SeaWorld. My 1 1/2 year old daughter seems to like the ride and even slept in it well. The seat reclines nicely and has a range of positions. The colors are great and it has a great design look to it. Completely comparable to a Maclaren (in my opinion) but for a lower price. I highly recommend this stroller! Only problem I have encountered is that I occasionally have trouble getting the locking mechanism to lock when the stroller is folded to go into my trunk. I can usually do it but sometimes it is temperamental.
4 Stars Chicco C5 Stroller- thumbs up
I am really pleased with this stroller. I love the fact it came with a drink holder - not sure if that’s a recent thing, since I read some reviews saying they didn’t have one. It is the kind that’s removable, but it works.
I have only used this a couple times and I do think opening and closing it is a little tricky… Maybe it will be easier after I use it more? I hope… The concept is easy, but maybe mine is just not broke in yet? Or I’m doing something wrong? I hope it loosens up for our Disney trip coming up. It’s the main reason why I purchased it.
Overall for an umbrella stroller, this one is great! It has everything I was looking for and the price was cheaper than I thought I’d end up spending for all those features. Even though I have not mastered the opening part of it, collapsing it is very easy. I would still highly recommend this stroller.
4 Stars nice light weight stroller
I just got this stroller as a replacement for my larger stroller. My previous stroller was not overly large, but it did fit the car seat, as a frame of reference (Graco brand). I needed a lighter weight stroller for my toddler. I will compare this to the Maclaren Volo since I tried that as well.
My toddler never wanted to sit in the Maclaren. I was so disappointed because that stroller was so lightweight, easy to fold up and carry. Ultimately I’m glad it didn’t work out because the Maclaren has no cup holder and it did not recline. My Graco had 3 cup holders plus it reclined. I was having a hard time transitioning away from that.
The Chicco C5 has both - a (read 1) cup holder and it reclines! The wheels are also larger than the Maclaren and it has all wheel suspension. It has a very smooth ride and folds like a dream. The only caveat is that it weighs about 5lbs more than the Maclaren.
We do a lot of trips to Disney and I really wanted something to fold up more compact than my Graco for those bus rides back to the resort. This fits the bill. Additionally, there is a carrying handle when it’s folded and it comes with a rain guard (which the Maclaren Volo only offers as an added ($$) accessory).
I really liked the Maclaren but they should improve upon its included options. My son is happy in the Chicco C5 so that’s what we’re sticking with.
4 Stars so far so good
only had this stroller a couple of months but so far I like it. bought it to keep in the car and use for trips to the mall, short jaunts, etc. it is light, easy to fold and unfold, easy to maneuver, and seems pretty comfortable for our 20 month old.
4 Stars Great, affordable stroller!
We’ve had this stroller for a few weeks now and love it! Our son is almost 17 months old and rides comfortably in this stroller. My favorite features are how compact it is, really attractive design, reclines much farther than most umbrellas we tested, is easy to steer and navigate, has a cupholder and good storage underneath. It also comes with a really durable rain cover which we’ve used many times already. My only complaint is the sun shade. It provides minimal coverage. Overall, I think this stroller is well worth the price.
